RV Battery Charging Kits
Following are some systems that will charge the
batteries in your RV. Which system will work best for you depends on how much
power you use. In our experience, one 75 watt panel will be sufficient for
lights, a radio and a small TV. If you are going to be running a furnace blower
or evaporative cooler you might want to start with two panels. Don't get too
stressed about which panel to choose, though. The wonderful thing about solar
is that you can buy one panel and see how it works for you. If you need more
power, you can always add more panels. Please note that these kits produce DC
power only. If you would like to run AC appliances in your RV without using a
generator you will need to buy an inverter. For more information on inverters,
please take a look at the Inverters page.
If
you want to get an exact number on how much power you use, please take a look
at our RV sizing work sheet. As always, if you have
questions, or want some advice on which system to choose, please
e-mail or give us a call.
