Solar Heating Systems

SolarSheat 1500
Solar hot air collection panels can reduce or eliminate your need to pay for more conventional and polluting forms of heat energy whenever the sun shines. This type of room heating works by drawing air from the room into the hot air collection panel, where it is heated and reintroduced into the room.

The SolarSheat 1500G is a supplemental room heating system. The collector is a glazed recirculation unit that is designed for space heating an area up tp 750 square feet when the sun is shining. Air from the room is drawn into the bottom of the collector, heated by the sun, and blown back into the room through a duct in the top of the collector. A fan in the top duct assists the flow of air into the room. An external digital thermostat regulates the temperature. The SolarSheat 1500GS is a secondary hot air collector panel that can be added to the system to increase the amount of room heating available, for either greater temperatures, and/or for larger areas.

The SolarSheat 1500G provides about 6 kBtu per day, up to 120 degrees F. The panels are 87" X 43.15" X 3.8" and weigh 94 pounds. Installation is easy. The unit is self-powered, and includes a built-in fan that is powered by the attached photovoltaic panel. The usual mounting method is on an exterior wall, however, it can be roof mounted (additional flashing and mounting hardware is required). The collector has a 5 year warranty, and the electronics are warrantied for 1 year.
